The Desolate Continent has only one primary occupant, the Dendregaar. They live in the center of the large continent.
There are also a handful a very small settlements of mortals. These people either thought they could conquer nature and bear the desolate landscape, or there are so desperate that moved there anyway.
There are only a few nations which keep prisons on the shores of the continent, as only who escapes would have to cross an ocean, or survive continent.
