A former Kingdom of Abbott colony, it was actually abandoned by Abbott shortly after its founding as it was too resource intensive to maintain, leaving the residents of the colony in the lurch. The people of the colony, originally named New Abbott (this name was later used again in a colony on Koneg) the residents renamed themselves Aspei. Despite almost being wiped out entirely during their first winter, they managed to establish the infrastructure which allowed them to expand and maintain their new nation.
