Lemin is the site of where humanity first arrived on Koneg. Most of the population of which first settled its southern coast continued their migration down to the mainland, or further west to modern Yimmen. The population which remained stayed mostly to the southern coast, and isolated from many of the other first settlers for multiple centuries. They remained aware of the other tribes which formed on the neighbouring landmasses, however they intentionally minimized contact as they believed that this island was the sacred homeland to which they were returning, and that all those who continued on were abandoning that sacred place and should therefore be shunned.

Today, all of that is considered superstition by most and the island has grown into a globally active nation. That being said, there remain numerous cultural divides between the people of Lemin and the rest of the Koneg natives, often not identifying with them.
