Caledor is a theocracy ruled over by a series of monarchs, believed to be selected by Catarae. When the current monarch is nearing the end of their life, or is preparing to step down, new prospective monarchs are put through a series of tests believed to determine whether or not Catarae approves of them as a ruler.
International Policy
Caledor is a relatively insular nation, however it does allow for certain routes to be travelled without issue, for those journeying to Eldracor, generally coming from the southern ports of Prodaram.
They also occasionally get involved in conflicts with Keldaron via coming to the aid of both Prodaramian and Broddenbattan forces during conflicts along their respective borders with Denimsia.
Daily Life
While the people of Caledor are extremely devout about their religion, their religion does not demand much in terms of behavioural compliance, only regular worship. Because of this, the culture of Caledor is effected much more by their environment and connections to neighbouring nations.
There is a fairly strong academic leaning in the kingdom due to their proximity to Eldracor. Due to their involvement in supporting the militaries of Prodaram and Broddenbat, there is a reasonably strong military culture in the kingdom.

Additionally, due to it's proximity, many individuals from Caledor choose to study at the universities of Eldracor.

Caledor frequently supports Broddenbat's military forces during conflicts with Denimsian forces.
