The Great Beast is the most powerful of the beasts created during The Age of Beasts. While the Eldarani and Dendregaar managed to imprison the most dangerous beasts, which could not be controlled, The Great Beast broke free of its chains. It was eventually fought back into its prison. However, to keep it there, the Dendregaar had to bind the blood of their species to the land in order to strengthen the chains which bind it.
