The Jinostol Isle was settled much later than the rest of Vanamir as its environment was hostile, while also holding little resources of value. This changed after it was discovered that there were oil deposits on the island. Until this point, it was unofficially considered to be a part of Guig Rika, however there was no official claims or settlements on the island, allowing for it to be settled with little pushback, having its first government propped up by the Commonwealth of Kornedenban, without making it an official colony to avoid the political backlash and pushback from Guig Rika.
